Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Grant!

Here are some photos from Grant's birthday. We had some friends over the help celebrate.

I had this great idea that since Grant loves balls I would make him a basketball cake for his birthday. I spent several hours making it....and was soooo excited to see his reaction. It never crossed my mind that he would not like the basketball cake. Just one touch of the cake and the tears started....oh well I guess there is always next year.

Hopefully tomorrow I can have a video posted...but due to technical problems I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Am I really this old??

Gray Solutions....am I really old enough to need this?? Apparently so! The other day Nate said "man you have a ton of gray hair"....so today I decided to do something about it. So far so good. We will see how long it lasts!

Weekly video

Wow - what a week. Not our normal ball chasing - book reading week!! Lots of new things this week. This week Grant has really become attached to his music box - he tries to pack it everywhere and he is figured out how to lift it on to the foot stool for better viewing. He also decided that his favorite musical ball toy (which a few months ago - just the sight of this ball made him cry) needed to be upstairs...so he carried it upstairs. There are also a lot of photos/videos of Grant with his ball pit. He loves it.

The other major thing this week.....well I'll let you see (it is also the theme of the song). Excuse the videos as it is hard to hold the camera and catch at the same time.....

Small Town Parade

The actual town we live in is small - but the overall area is pretty big. This past weekend we went to our town high school homecoming parade. Here are some photos from that day.

I'm sure by next year Grant will have a shopping bag - standing on the street collecting a bunch of candy!!

What to wear???

Who knew picking out a Halloween costume for your child could be so difficult? Should he be a super hero? A duck? A pumpkin? So many choices. Nate thinks I'm crazy. So I have a little poll going - what should Grant be for Halloween. Please help!!

It was only about 70 degrees in his bedroom for his nap so I don't think he was too hot in his crib with no blanket....sometimes the kid just likes to pull his pants/shorts off.

Weely Update

This past week we spent one morning at a gym with oversized mats and blocks for kids to crawl on. At first I didn't think Grant liked it too much....but then he found a ball and everything was good.

River View?

You can kind of see in this photo our back yard (before grass) and there is a small creek back there. Normally there is not much water in the creek. Just enough for us to say we have a creek in our back yard.....

After 4 days of heavy raining our "little creek" looks more like a river. So I guess I can say we have a river view.

Totally Happy All Day.

Yesterday Grant was so happy all day!! It was great. Normally he is a pretty happy guy but there are time during the day when he has his little melt downs....but nothing yesterday - just smiles and giggles!

Bottles Gone? No Way!!

About a month ago we were pacifier free....now we are 100% bottle free. Lucky for us it only took about 3 different sippy cups to find the one he likes and now he drinks everything from a sippy cup. That is unless you get a glass of water out of the frig door...then he ALWAYS wants a drink from your glass.

Weekly update

Just in case you are wondering after watching this video...our kid is not hooked on drugs....just hooked on sleeping with the Tylenol bottle. He loves to chew on the hard lid. We let him fall asleep holding it and then take it away after he is asleep.

Yeah a kitchen table

Finally our kitchen table was delivered today. We are all very excited to have a table! Heck we can even have people over now without using the camping chairs!!

Finally Buster Cares

Finally Buster cares about Grant....o'k well he really cares about Grant's empty cracker container.

Yesterday I gave the empty container to Grant to play with and last night I found Buster chewing it to pieces. Oh how Buster was so happy to play with that empty container.

My New Ride....

Here is Grant in his new car seat. It is so much more roomy for him. I think he will love it even more in a month or two when we turn it around - front facing.
