All Smiles....Even With A Cold!

Even a cold can't stop Grant from smiling. The poor guy has had a cold all week. He has been a real trooper.

Here he is taking a little nap in his car seat. Normally naps are in the crib...as we are trying to move him into his crib but due to his cold we gave him a break and let him nap in his car seat.

More beans please!!

Grant just loves green beans....which I completely don't understand (they smell so gross). He always gives the frown face on the first bite but then I think he figures out he is eating beans and loves it. He has tried bananas, apple sauce, sweet potatoes and green beans so far. He also loves rice cereal in the mornings.

Grant's First Friend....

On the days when I have to go into the office a friend of mine takes care of Grant. This is her son Jack. I think Jack is Grant's first "non-family" friend. It seems like when I drop Grant off at Rebecca's house he could care less that his mom is leaving...he has a great time with Jack and Isabelle (Rebecca's daughter).

In need of - heavy duty snow blower & teenage boy....

...to take care of our snow removal!

Seriously we live in Iowa...why do we not own a snow blower??? We must be crazy!! But it is good exercise right. It can stop snowing any day now....it was fun the first couple of times (back in December) but fun is gone now. So here are some pictures of the snow today in our driveway. Just to let you know this is at noon today and I already shoveled once today at 8:00am. The last 1/4 of the driveway will just have to wait....

Crib here we come....

These pictures are from a recent nap time.... we are trying to move Grant into his crib at night (he currently sleeps in his car seat in his room). The first night he slept for 35 minutes in his crib and the next night 55 minutes before being moved to his car seat. Hopefully he will eventually sleep the entire night in his crib. We are just so happy that he has maintained a 9.5 hour sleeping night since the big 12 hour night.

12 hours & 20 minutes

12 hours & 20 minutes...yes that is how long Grant went between feedings last night. YEAH!! What a blessing!!!! I couldn't believe it this morning when I woke up....I thought I was dreaming. We fed him bananas and milk last night at 6:45 pm and he woke up this morning at 7:05 am. Oh lets hope this continues!!

First Bites Video

Bring on the meat and potatoes

How about a little rice cereal? At first Grant was not too excited about the cereal...but soon he seemed to enjoy it - or he was enjoying the funny sounds I was making to keep him intersted. Boy what a big mess!

We actually tried some bananas last night...with similar results...
