Oh deer......

I just came home from having lunch with Nate and I looked out my kitchen window and this is what I saw. Two big bucks! Love it!!

Ready for next year....

When I went home in May I purchased some fabric to make a quilt....well I just finished the top. As you can see it is a 4th of July theme quilt so I guess I'm ready for next year.

Hair

Today I came across this photo (from when Grant was 6 months old)....I can't believe how long his hair was! Now I'm totally obsessed with cutting his hair. So much so that I think I do it every two weeks. Poor Grant!!

Here is a photo after today's hair cut. I'm getting the military cut down....maybe I can do that as a second career. I think I could probably do Nate's hair too but there are very slim chances that would happen!!

House

Many have asked us for photos of our house in Peoria...so here are some photos. I was waiting until we got more furniture and landscaping done...but since we are on a 5-7 year plan for furniture and landscaping I figured I might as well go ahead and post some photos as it could be some time before things are all finished. More in our family photo section. We would love to have visitors!!!

One of the great features of our house is there is a room under the garage...which is unusual. It will make a great food storage area and tornado shelter (if ever needed)....however right now it leaks so hopefully that will get taken care soon.

Nate was convinced that if we kept Grant up later he would sleep longer....so he played with him until 7:30 pm when Grant was too tired to play. Here are some photos and video. We will see what time Grant gets up tomorrow morning....I'm still betting on his usual time of 6:06am.

Today's adventures....

Today I moved the footstool into Grant's playroom - since he loves to pull himself up on it downstairs (on the hardwood floors...not a soft landing) so I thought the carpet would make for a softer landing. He loves it in his room - but he still love the camera more (oh and he loves his soccer ball).

Two things that happen every day....

So these two thing happen everyday around our house...

1st - I'm used as a human speed bump. There is no point in going around when you can go over it....right?

2nd - I get a free dental exam each day. All the front teeth are check and my gums scrapped each day...what more could you ask for?
